Description
Deutsch: Die Windmühle in Varel wurde in den Jahren 1847 bis 1848 in der Form als Kappenwindmühle (Gallerieholländer) mit dem typischen dreiteiligen Aufbau erstellt. Die Aufname zeigt komplett den Mittelteil mit der Gallerie, die drehbare Kappe mit den Flügeln und die Windrose zur automatischen Ausrichtung an die Windrichtung. Der steinerne Unterbau hat 5 Geschosse. Die Mühle ist mit einer Höhe von 30 Metern bis zur Spitze der Kappe die zweitgrößte erhaltene Windmühle Deutschlands.
Simple English: The windmill in Varel was built in the years 1847 to 1848 in the form of a cap windmill with the typical three-piece construction. The inscription shows completely the center part with the gallery, the rotatable cap with the wings and the wind rose for automatic alignment with the wind direction. The stone substructure has 5 storeys. The mill is the second largest preserved windmill in Germany with a height of 30 meters to the top of the cap.
