Summary

[edit]
Description
English: The Ghumadpal temples complex is c. 1300 CE site in Tokapal tehsil in Bastar district. It is also called Shiv Kalasha Shaktidham. The complex consists of a collection of ruins and a stone temple of the Nagara-style. The complex was originally several temples. Only one survives and it faces east. The architectural plan is square and follows the Dakshina Kosala style found in central and north Chhattisgarh. However, some of the artwork has the Kakatiya-style. The temples complex is thus a continuation of pre-10th century designs as well as a fusion of Hindu styles and ideas.
