Italiano: Apparecchio destinato a dimostrare il Principio di Pascal applicato ai gas. Lo strumento è composto da alcuni tubi di vetro a due curvature, applicati agli orifizj di cui è munita la sfera. Nella curvatura inferiore di questi tubi s'introduce la stessa quantità di liquido; appena si abbassa lo stantuffo contenuto nel cilindro P, si vede che la differenza di livello nei due rami è la stessa in tutti i tubi: il chè prova che la pressione esercitata dallo stantuffo sulla massa gassosa racchiusa nel cilindro e nella sfera, si è trasmessa egualmente ed in ogni senso sulle superficie libere delle colonne liquide contenute nei tubi. Se le sezioni dei tubi fossero disuguali, la pressione verrebbe comunicata proporzionalmente alla loro estensione. |
