View Flood) Air View of Water Ravaged Sacramento Valley. Sacramento, Cal. . . First airplane photo of the flood caused by fast melting snow in the High Sierras which swelled twelve Northern California and Nevada rivers to more than capacity and inundated the Sacramento Valley. Farms, orchards, homes and highways were damaged to the extent of millions of dollars. This view was taken while the waters raging at their worst. Five known dead were recovered here and it is feared that possible 63 lives were lost. Six hundred were rendered homeless. L-3-31-28 FM.AB.E."
