English: CWGC gravestone for Private John Barnard Cubitt in the churchyard of St John the Baptist's Head in the village of Trimingham, Norfolk. Private John Barnard Cubitt of the Training Reserve Battalion. He died on the 30 May 1917 aged 18. His army number was TR96/1447 and he served with the 28th Training Reserve Battalion, Northamptonshire Regiment on the Home Front. He was born and lived at Beacon Farm in Trimingham and enlisted 2nd March 1917 in Cromer, Norfolk aged 18. He was 5 feet 6 and three quarter inches tall and weighed 145lbs. His next of kin was his father, George Cubitt of Beacon Farm Trimingham. Cubitt had been a carpenter before he enlisted. He was assigned to the Training Reserve on the 20th March 1917. His records show he was 5 feet 6 and three quarter inches tall and weighed 145lbs. He died at Glovers Hospital, Sittingbourne Kent. Cause was Pneumonia. He had been first admitted on the 6th May 1917. His pay record was B Company 28th Training Reserve Battalion. |
