English: The inside of a World War 1 pillbox located on church road on the east side of the Cromer to North Walsham road in the parish of Thorpe Market. Norfolk. This pillbox is located in close proximity to another dating from the same period which is across the road on the west side of the A149. They are part of the River Ant Fortifications line which ran inland from the coast at Weybourne and along the course of the River Ant and the North Walsham and Dilham Canal all the way to Wayford Bridge and the natural defence of the Norfolk Braods. |
