Description

Formerly Mississippi River built in 1952 Mississippi River Number 1 Background The Chicago, Burlington & Quincy Railroad bought this car in 1952 and originally named it Burlington. In 1973 it was renamed the Mississippi River, and numbered A-4. Burlington Northern renumbered the car BNA #1, and then it was renumbered again to BNSF #1 in September 1998. The car was remodeled in 1976 and again in 1982. It contains Staterooms A and B with queen size beds, a dining room for eight people, as well as an observation room. Total Weight 144,800 lbs. Trucks 39,600 lbs. Exterior Stainless Steel
