Description

In the first panel, Ben Tillman steals the Credit for the Railroad Bill - Political Thunder firecracker from President Roosevelt, who has secretly lit it. In the second panel it explodes by a sign reading Pass No Bills - Orders of US Senate, sending Tillman flying. The caption reads "Benny makes off with Teddy's giant cracker- But Teddy fires the thunder to Benny's discomfiture." Tillman and Roosevelt had worked across party lines to bring the bill to the Senate, but began feuding again when Tillman tried to claim credit, while the Senate held up the bill's passage.
