Description
Español: La necesidad de mantener el equilibrio entre lo rural y lo urbano, entre el campo y la ciudad, apoyándose además en quienes, por cultura, están más relacionadas con lo cotidiano, las mujeres. Ese es el mensaje que Manuela Carmena, alcaldesa de Madrid, ha transmitido hoy martes, 10 de octubre, a las más de 300 mujeres que han participado en CentroCentro en una jornada organizada por la Federación de Asociaciones de Mujeres Rurales (FADEMUR). El objetivo era analizar el rol de estas mujeres en la economía española y su papel como garantes de la soberanía alimentaria, la vertebración del territorio y la lucha contra el despoblamiento. Se enmarca en la conmemoración del Día Internacional de las Mujeres Rurales, declarado por la ONU en 2008 para reconocer  su contribución al “desarrollo agrícola y rural, la mejora de la seguridad alimentaria y  la erradicación de la pobreza rural”.
