Notes: Letter reads: My dear Mr. Deane, I no longer put book plates in my books finding I can draw the one shown in less time and with less bother - thus, Elihu Vedder, his Book, Rome, 1911. However, I send you such as I have hoping they will please you. Sincerely yours, Elihu Vedder. Title devised by Library staff. Forms part of the Ruthven Deane Bookplate Collection.
