Summary

When using red-blue or red-green glasses, they enable a three-dimensional view of the landscape and give the viewer a spatial idea of the differences in height. When viewed in this way, the striking Aganippe Fossa trench can be clearly seen, as well as subtle differences in height in the region. These are known as the aureole of the Arsia Mons volcano and are probably a result of the activity of glaciers. Credit: ESA/DLR/FU Berlin, CC BY-SA 3.0 IGO |
