Deutsch: Carnallit (Kaliummagnesiumchlorid-Hexahydrat, KMgCl3*6H2O) mit Zwillingslamellen und Einschlüssen. Detailaufnahme eines Gesteinsdünnschliffes mit einem Leitz Laborlux 12 POL-Mikroskop (gekreuzte Polarisatoren), Canon 600D-DSLR und NPL Fluotar 40/0.70 P-Objektiv. |

Carnallit ist ein sehr leichtlösliches, stark hygroskopisches Evaporitmineral. Es ist ein Hauptbestandteil des Gesteins Carnallitit. Die Probe stammt aus dem Zechstein (Perm) in Deutschland. Aufgrund der geringen Schärfentiefe wurden mehrere Fotos mittels Focusstacking miteinander verrechnet.
