Description
中文（臺灣）：鳳林公學校，其前身為「鳳林書房」。1920年（大正9年）時，台灣總督府廢除舊有的「鳳林書房」，而在此地設立「太巴塱公學校鳳林分校」。隔年，也就是1922年（大正10年）4月才將其獨立為「鳳林公學校」。在1941年（昭和16年）的時候，因為太平洋戰爭的爆發，臺灣總督府變更了舊有的教育令，而將小學校、公學校、蕃人公學校三者同時統稱為「國民學校」，為配合政府之政策，方從「鳳林公學校」改名為「鳳林西國民學校」，現今則為「鳳林國小」。此影像收錄於《顧我洄瀾：花蓮歷史影像集》一書，為葉柏強先生撰寫、花蓮縣文化局於2016年（民國105年）出版。書中記錄了花蓮近百年的城市樣貌，是一本擁有豐富文史與圖像資料的書籍。
