中文（臺灣）：高雄巿忠烈祠及其附屬建物「戰爭與和平紀念館」為日治時期「高雄神社」，於民國63年(1974)在原址重建，現存有日治時期神社之大東亞戰爭紀念碑、石燈籠座、唐獅子等，見證日治時期文化之重要意涵，為高雄市重要之歷史發展軌跡見證，有保存之必要性。
建築本體採重簷宮殿式結構，屋頂金黃琉璃瓦，屋脊配仙人走獸，曲昂斗拱、棟樑鑿井均為宋式彩繪，建築工法、藝術美學皆具特色，靈秀莊嚴，古色古香。 |
