中文（臺灣）：高雄武德殿於大正13年(1924年)在湊町(今哈瑪星)四丁目完工，內部分為兩大部份，東邊為劍道區，西邊為柔道區，為日治時期提供警察及青年學子修練柔道、劍道的場所。日治時代全台各地推動武德教育，當時的武德殿定期舉辦演武大會，推廣武道文化。 |
