中文：駐緬甸代表處於辛丑年臘月月圓之日、一月十七日贊助250份午餐在仰光市中心達耶多寺廟內的將軍路達把佤禪修中心，提供給寺廟師父、鄰近兩家醫院經濟困難的家屬、工作人員及社區內經濟弱勢居民，盼與其他善心人士接力協助大家度過這段艱困的時期。午餐菜色包括: 馬鈴薯、鴨蛋、魚乾、蝦米及湯。

依據聯合國開發計畫(UNDP)預測，由於緬甸受到新冠疫情及政治不安情勢的雙重影響，2022年可能有一半人口生活在貧苦中。各地慈善機構近一年來紛紛反映過去善心捐助急遽減少，部分機構為了維持日漸增多的經濟弱勢群眾及收容兒童每日基本餐點所需，早已捉襟見肘，幾乎難以為繼。近數月來，各地善心人士主動出面張羅平價餐點，供應給需要的民眾，據報導都供不應求。

駐緬甸代表處李朝成大使上年十一月間協調緬甸台商總會，結合緬甸、泰國熱心台商的力量共同募集物資食品對五家弱勢慈善機構進行發放作。長期以來以私人力量默默捐助弱勢慈善機構之台商、僑胞，略盡一份心意回饋緬甸社會的善行義舉，受到廣大緬甸民眾肯定。駐緬甸代表處將持續與台商、僑胞密切合作，以多次、分批的方式結合經營有成的慈善平台進行務實的人道救援。
English: The Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Myanmar sponsored 250 portions of lunch meal at the Bogyok Street Nature Meditation Center in That Yet Taw Monastery, Yangon City on January 17, 2022, the last full moon day according to Taiwan’s Lunar Calendar. Those less privileged monks, relatives of the two hospitals in the neighborhood, residents are welcome to collect a portion of lunch meal which contains potato, duck egg, dried fish and shrimps, soup, etc.

Pandemic and political crisis could result in half of Myanmar’s population living in poverty by 2022, the United Nations Development Program forecasted. Charity facilities in Myanmar in recent months have requested proper donations as they are encountering financial difficulties accommodating influx of less privileged people, especially orphans from all over the country. We have witnessed recently quite a few new charity meal providers are already in operation offering free or low-cost meals to the needy people in different places and they are overwhelmed with the number of those in need.

Ambassador Charles Li of the TECC in Myanmar mobilized the resource of the Taiwanese Chamber of Commerce in Myanmar, its members and those in Thailand in November 2021 to distribute food stuff to 5 orphanages, monasteries and schools, besides those making donations all the time to charities anonymously over the years. The goodwill and humanitarian relief efforts by the Taiwanese really touch Myanmar people’s hearts. The TECC in Myanmar is committed to sponsoring more free meals in Myanmar around the period of Lunar New year to the needy people and help them overcome the pandemic and social hardship. All Taiwanese living in Myanmar are helping to relieve the hardships of low-income people.
