中文（繁體）：頭屋台灣白色恐怖紀念碑立於民國89（2000）年，位在頭屋鄉象山村孔聖39號，象山書院右側圍牆，為黑色花崗岩的長方形碑，縱106公分、橫68公分。碑文為作家李喬描述228事件、白色恐怖時期與胡海基先生捐地建碑之經過。
苗栗縣頭屋鄉白色恐怖民主英烈公園自民國74（1985）年至民國89（2000）年竣工，為苗栗籍胡海基先生捐地籌建。胡海基在白色恐怖時期曾被通緝並逃亡一年，最後為避免牽連親友不得已自首，但他的許多朋友均已遭難。為此胡海基捐地建紀念碑及其處所，伴以觀音菩薩巨像，安慰受難者之靈。 |
