| Description |
中文（臺灣）：金刀比羅宮為海上的守護神，廣為日本漁民、海員等海事相關者所崇奉。故日本各地的漁港，多設立金刀比羅神社，以庇佑來往的船隻與商旅，長保海上一行平安。此一信仰類似臺灣漁民的媽祖信仰，又稱海神廟。日治時期臺灣重要的港口如基隆、高雄等地皆設有金刀比羅神社。1926(大正15)年為了促進新落成的蘇澳港（今南方澳漁港）之繁榮，在台北州主導之下大力推行漁業移民計畫，推出優厚的條件，鼓勵日本漁民來蘇澳港定居，所以「金刀比羅大神」的信仰就隨著漁民的移入而傳進來。蘇澳金刀比羅神社位於蘇澳砲台山上，於1927(昭和2)年4月20日鎮座，神社居高臨下，可以俯視蘇澳市街和蘇澳港區。現今的神社主體建築已不存在，僅存社名石柱、石桌、石椅、石燈籠及神社正殿基座遺址等 |
