Description
中文(繁體):西拉雅族公廨內鹿骨,新北市鶯歌區南靖里(南靖厝)
English: Taiwanese Plains Indigenous Peoples in the south of Taiwan believes in Alid (the spirit of ancestors). Take the Siraya people for example, they set up an altar in Kuwa or in their house, putting leaves of reed and sugar cane in a vase with clean water and worship the water that symbolizes the power of Alid. The containers used to worship Alid today are mainly Anping jar, urn, vase and wine vessel, which are not produced by the Siraya people. The Siraya people even developed shrine and amulet as methods of worship, this illustrated the impact of foreign culture to the traditional culture of the indigenous communities.
