Summary
[edit]Description處理後的塔壩牛皮 (2).jpg |
中文(繁體):處理後的塔壩(Dhapa)牛皮,桃園市中壢區芝芭里(芝芭里庄大路下)
English: Yang Da Zhao from Guangdong led approximately 110 contracted Chinese workers to Kolkata in 1782. They planted sugarcanes and opened sugar refineries in Achipur, becoming an important spiritual symbol of the Indian Hakka community. Yang Da Zhao is respectfully referred to as the "Tangyuan Bo Gong". As the early Hakka immigrants quickly moved into urban areas, Achipur on longer has any Hakka community, but temples of Earth God, Earth Goddess, Guan Gong, and Mazu remained. During every New Year, the Indian Hakka community will pay special visits to worship in these temples. |
