中文（臺灣）：蘇澳頂寮城隍廟係合祀原舊頂寮北應媽廟與南應公廟而成，原有應公與有應媽在1984年時被昇格為城隍爺公與城隍爺媽。一般有應公或有應媽是所謂無主孤魂，非指特定有清楚姓名之個人。但頂寮城隍廟的城隍爺公與城隍爺媽，地方民眾在遷建新廟前，透過乩童輦轎出字，稱舊頂寮南應公乃西元698年（唐武則天在位期間）「白營部」兵將，因發生瘟疫而亡；北應媽則是在1426（明宣宗宣德原年）時之主帥與文書官，因出巡外海考察而亡，屍骸並飄至北頂寮海岸。頂寮城隍廟新廟完工後，居民即將此典故與建廟昇格城隍沿革，銘刻立碑於步口廊對看牆龍堵上。 |
