中文（臺灣）：葉柏強在《顧我洄瀾—花蓮歷史影像集》一書中指出，照片中的原住民是比較少見的阿美族男士群像，且這樣的穿著應該是平時工作時的裝扮，而非盛裝。阿美族主要分為三大系統，北部為南勢阿美；中部為秀姑巒阿美，受布農族影響甚深；南部為馬蘭阿美，受卑南族影響。另外，照片中後方中央帶著瓜皮帽及最左邊戴著清代涼帽的男子，或許是來與原住民交易、溝通的通事。通事在清代是很低階的官職，未放入九品之中，也因此紅色的涼帽沒有帽子上面的頂珠。此影像收錄於2016年（民國105年）由花蓮文史工作者葉柏強先生撰寫、花蓮縣文化局出版的《顧我洄瀾：花蓮歷史影像集》，書中收錄了大量花蓮在地的歷史影像，如老照片、繪葉書、宣傳摺頁、郵戳樣式等，是深入花蓮文史的重要書籍。 |
