中文（臺灣）：此圖為花崗山上眺望花蓮市街的景象。圖中能看見昔日花蓮港市街一帶繁榮之景，一棟棟密集的斜頂建築密集地環繞市街，若向近看前面有棟斜頂建築，上面有著特殊的花紋及明顯與其他建築方式不同的建築特色，再加上能看見周邊有著神社、寺廟才有的石燈籠等裝飾，可推測大致為昔日花崗山的寺廟，東臺寺（全銜大樹山東臺寺）與淨光寺（全銜大關山淨光寺）的所在位置。東臺寺由鹽水港製糖株式會社社長荒井泰治發願所興建，且於1918年（大正7年）開始動工，次年興築完成寺廟。而淨光寺則是在1916年（大正5年）落成。1947年（民國36年），東臺寺、淨光寺與玉蓮寺合併成東淨寺。此影像收錄於2016年（民國105年）由花蓮文史工作者葉柏強先生撰寫、花蓮縣文化局出版的《顧我洄瀾：花蓮歷史影像集》，書中收錄了大量花蓮在地的歷史影像，如老照片、繪葉書、宣傳摺頁、郵戳樣式等，是深入花蓮文史的重要書籍。 |
