中文（繁體）：美濃水橋於1928年竣工，監督設計者為當時獅子頭水利組合的岡田安久次郎，岡田安久次郎係日本國埼玉縣人，曾擔任埼玉縣及橫濱市吏員，明治44年來台，任職於台灣總督府土木部，隨後進入獅子頭水利組合，大正15年晉升組合理事，昭和6年被任命為代組合長，同年8月1日辭世，享年66歲。水橋是美濃重要的文化資產，深具歷史意義。
English: The Meinong Water Bridge was originally a wooden structure built by the Japanese in 1909, and, due to decay, it was rebuilt in 1926. It was designed in such a way that pedestrians and light carts crossed on an upper section and water passed through the aqueduct beneath.Many residents of Meinong still have happy childhood memories of their exciting experiences as they glided through the aqueduct. Therefore, this structured does not only provide irrigation, it serves as a reminder of the collective memories of the people when they were young and of the community events. |
