中文（臺灣）：羅大春為清朝福建陸路提督，1874（同治13）年，因「牡丹社事件」，奉欽差大臣沈葆楨之命來台「開山撫番」，闢自蘇澳，終抵花蓮港北岸的「北路」蘇花古道，即今日蘇花公路之前身。拓墾期間羅大春欽命駐紮蘇澳，捐資五百圓設立義學於晉安宮旁，並請撥瓦屋草舍五間，修為課讀學堂，在屯營講武之餘，繼以文教雅化百姓，以倡文風。翌年，為感念羅提督自資興學，提倡平民教育，三澳總董王秀俊、鄭禮泉、黃寶忠暨舖戶庄民等勒石興學紀念碑，以永誌此事。此碑石材為砂岩，經風歷雨漸蝕，字跡已模糊難辨，廟方遂於2008年又請石刻師傅，仿刻拓碑文內字，新碑與舊碑目前一同陳列於晉安宮廟埕紀念亭內。 |
