お正月飾りとして有名な注連縄ですが、お伊勢さんの周辺では通年で掛けたままにしているお宅が珍しくありません。 慣習の起源は素戔嗚尊(スサノオノミコト)にあるとされ、尊に宿を貸したことへのお礼に「注連飾りを年中掛けておけば、後世疫病から免れることが出来る」と訓えられたことによるものだそうです。 例えばこちらは内宮別宮・伊雑宮の参道にあるお宅の注連縄。「笑門」のほかに「蘇民将来子孫家門」や「千客萬来」などといった言葉が書かれた札を付けて飾るのが一般的なのだとか。 |
