中文（臺灣）：本照片為江口良三郎紀念碑。江口良三郎為日本九州佐賀縣人，生於1869年（明治2年），曾參與太魯閣戰爭，擔任警部與理蕃課長等職，並於1920年（大正9年）至1926年（大正15年）擔任花蓮港廳第五任廳長。其於廳長任內積極推動花蓮港的建港計畫、組建能高團棒球隊並赴日比賽，以及建築「江口突堤」。1926年（大正15年），江口良三郎病逝於日本名古屋，隔年，美崙一帶的居民為其建立頌德碑，現今該碑仍置於花蓮港邊，並已闢建為「江口良三郎紀念公園」。此影像收錄於《顧我洄瀾：花蓮歷史影像集》一書，為葉柏強先生撰寫、花蓮縣文化局於2016年（民國105年）出版。書中記錄了花蓮近百年的城市樣貌，是一本擁有豐富文史與圖像資料的書籍。 |
