Description

中文（臺灣）：檢察長宿舍建於日據時期，原為臺北地方法院花蓮港支部位置所在，臺北地方法院花蓮港支部設立於昭和10年(1935)，戰後，則改為花蓮縣地方法院，後因民國40年花蓮發生大地震，花蓮市災情極為嚴重，為改善法院辦公廳舍，並配合地方政府整體遷建計畫，與花蓮縣政府一同搬遷至美崙地區，新辦公大樓於民國55年3月底竣工。搬遷後的舊園區及宿舍，曾經荒廢許久，民國97年在進行國有眷舍清理的政策壓力下，檢察長宿舍被指定為古蹟而保存下來。檢察長宿舍為日式木構官舍，大體保存完整，入口門廊具有獨特之牛眼窗裝飾及左右之柱子獨特的造型設計，有其工藝價值。
