Description
中文（繁體）：1902年，鈴木社長為慰藉遠離故鄉的日本技術人員，並希望拉近臺灣農民對製糖會社的向心力，託人從中國大陸蒐集古銅鏡，於橋頭糖廠社宅事務所旁塑立聖觀音像，其優美的外型係仿日本奈良藥師寺的聖觀音像，具有不菲的藝術價值。 此聖觀音佛像祀立方向朝偏北方，正面對製糖工場凝視廠房，意味著一方面可鎮宅（社宅事務所） ，一方面可保佑加持工場開工生產順利，工作人員平安。經考證，此聖觀音佛像與日本奈良藥師寺東院堂聖觀音佛像（約鑄造於西元720）為同一風格之作品，堪稱是日本佛像雕塑史上的代表作。
