中文（繁體）：本棟建築是模仿荷蘭在東南亞殖民地的建築，採地上架高結構以利通風，迴廊和連續拱門造型則是歐洲傳統建築的移殖。古蹟專家李乾朗先生稱它為「熱帶殖民西洋樣式建築」。建築物上環繞的方孔並不是做為建築物裝飾用的，而是防禦「土匪」偷襲時戰備的置槍孔。 |
