中文（臺灣）：本文論述林園鄉的歷史發展、鄉土文化與地方古蹟等相關內容，旨在提倡大眾對自我故鄉的重視與認同感，並且將在地文化與歷史記憶傳承下去。
本文內容詳盡，雖羅列出17項有關林園鄉之部分，但實則分為自然與人文兩大類。一為自然方面，簡述該地區的地理位置、環境、水文與風景名勝等，包含著名的紅樹林保護區、茄苳樹群與清水岩風景區，二為人文，討論議題最為全面，包含該地區的史前時期考古遺址（鳳鼻頭、林家村與清水岩等七處遺跡）與日治時期的隧道遺址。傳統建築則論及到其房屋構造、裝飾與建材等內容，且具有中、日、西式的多元風格。當地的宗教信仰豐富，並形成許多共同的祭祀圈，如道教、佛教與基督教等等。林園鄉更培養出如廖殿魁與林玉經等文、武舉人，可見當時此地重視教育，文武兼備，人才輩出，甚至流傳有關林半仙看風水的傳說故事。當地產業的類型，包含了用槺榔樹葉綁掃帚的傳統手藝，以及農漁業與林園石化工業區等建設。其他如戰後大陳義胞等族群的遷入。 綜言上述，透過豐富的口述資料與舊相片，生動地還原當時人們生活的情境使我們更能了解在地的發展歷程和增進對鄉土文化的認識。 |
