Description
中文(臺灣):本文探討日治時期臺灣語言政策,進而理解日治時期臺灣社會運動的歷史,政策可分為第一期試驗時期、第二期同化時期、第三期皇民化時期。

從第一期試驗時期(1895-1918)的緩慢試驗日語教學,到第二期同化時期(1919-1936)著重實施普通教育中的日語教學,減少漢文使用,最後是第三期皇民化時期(1937-1945)更全面地使用日語。這些政策目標是藉由「學校教育」、「書房教育」、「民間社團」、「國語講習所」、「簡易國語講習所」、「幼兒國語講習所」、「特設國語講習所」、「國語常用家庭」與「國語演講比賽會」來普及與推廣。除此之外,日本人也積極學習臺灣話,對其進行整理、研究。但臺灣人也在上述語言政策的壓迫下產生反同化的意識。

從上述可知,殖民政權藉由各種政策來讓殖民地人民更快對母國產生認同與效忠,其中語言政策更是重要的一環,但從日本的案例可知,即使如此,臺灣人仍產生了反同化的意識。
