中文（繁體）：旗山國小原為日治時期的蕃薯藔公學校
，明治31年(1898)臺灣總督府發佈「臺灣公學校令」，規定8~14歲的孩童可就讀公學校，修業年限為4年，是為近代臺灣基礎教育制度的開端。 昭和9年(1934)12月13日學校興建講堂(今大禮堂)動工，隔年(1935)6月23日完工，至此，日治時期的校園整體規劃大致完成，至今仍保存良好，此為旗山國小得以被指定為古蹟的重要原因。 |
