English: Guangfu Temple is a typical Hakka-style arcade temple building; from 1888 when it was rebuilt to the present time is already more than one-hundred years of history. It has the special feature that its wooden ridgepole and beams are all unpainted-they ratain their original unadorned wooden surface. After officially being declared to be a national monument, the temple became an important cultural asset of New Taipei City. Guangfu Temple underwent restoration from 1991 to 1994. However due to the danger of leakage and other factors, the temple underwent repairs with funding from the Ministry of Culture, Cultural Assets Bureau from January 2013 until its completion in May 2014. |
