中文（繁體）：供水設施與民生有緊密的關連，是足以標舉城市進步的歷史見證。打狗水道淨水池與高雄港市早期的發展息息相關，且目前仍屬使用狀態，為一活體古蹟，更彰顯其文化意義與價值。就設施本體的規模、構造、形式與水道建設技術面而言，均為值得保存的文化資產。
English: Urban infrastructure is an important, tangible symbol of a modern city. The water supply facility is a direct indicator of the advancement of a city and directly concerns the livelihood of the citizens. The Dagou Water Treatment Center gives information about the early development of Kaohsiung Harbor and City, and it is still in active service. This is a live Ancient Monument with significant cultural meaning and value. In view of its size, structure, and the technique used in its aqueduct architecture, it warrants being preserved as a cultural asset.
