| Description |
中文（臺灣）：頭城慶元宮，"慶元”據傳取「嘉慶元年」之意，俗稱「頭城媽祖廟」、「頭城媽祖宮」，是頭城鎮最古的媽祖廟。為清朝自大陸抵台開墾的先民為感念媽祖聖德所建，朝東面海，意味護佑早期渡海來台的子民們。該廟為典型的漳州建築風格，三川殿的牌樓面以及廟門的石獅、壁面的石雕皆為砂岩材質，縱觀全台現存古廟，已屬少見，為宜蘭地區清代晚期具代表性廟宇建築。廟體雖因年代久遠，幾經翻修，裝飾工藝多已風化毀損，但仍保留了相當數量的清光緒年間的石雕。慶元宮位於頭城老街中間點，前埕連接頭圍港，在頭城開發史上佔有重要地位，自古至今更為頭城民眾的信仰中心。主祀除了由福建莆田湄洲天后宮來台的海神天上聖母媽祖外，廟內尚祀有神農大帝、倉頡先師、大魁星君、文昌帝君等神祇，且頗多咸豐、光緒年間的對聯，所祀之媽祖、千里眼、順風耳等神像，大多來自唐山，雕精砌巧，匠心獨具，是宜蘭縣內難見之佳作。本廟已於2014年6月30日由宜蘭縣政府公告為縣定古蹟。 |
