| Description |
中文（臺灣）：這張影像可以看見越嶺道在聳立山脈間緩緩前進、峭壁間純白大理石裸露的樣子，以及遠方南湖大山、中央尖山、合歡山、畢祿山山影重疊的模樣。1910年至1915年（明治43年至大正4年）五年理蕃計畫期間，於1914年（大正3年）爆發太魯閣戰爭。戰爭結束後，各太魯閣族蕃社陸續歸順，日方隨即在各部落間開闢連絡道路與廣設駐在所，今日的錐麓古道即是合歡越嶺古道殘存遺跡。錐麓古道全長1.2公里，高約600公尺，與福磯斷崖對望。目前錐麓古道僅開放3.1公里，並且需要申請進入。此影像收錄於《顧我洄瀾：花蓮歷史影像集》一書，為葉柏強先生撰寫、花蓮縣文化局於2016年（民國105年）出版。書中記錄了花蓮近百年的城市樣貌，是一本擁有豐富文史與圖像資料的書籍。 |
