中文（臺灣）: 屏東市崇蘭的蕭家古厝，已有近200年歷史，開基祖是蕭維天，西元1715年出生，原籍廣東省惠州府陸豐縣城尾墟社，清朝乾隆年間隻身來台，定居於屏東市崇蘭里，以務農為生，兼營砂糖買賣生意，由於經營得法，不久即成為屏東屈指可數的巨富，據說當時擁有的良田達百多公頃，長治鄉及高雄縣大樹鄉一帶亦有可觀的田園與山坡地。蕭家不但生財有道，子孫也多文采，在清領時期出過6位秀才。蕭家人才輩出，是屏東市的大望族，早期每年冬至祭祖時，有八音、禮生，還須穿著長袍馬掛，由主祭官宣讀祭文，隆重登場，蔚為地方年度盛事。 Edit this at Structured Data on Commons

蕭家財力雄厚，由於人丁興旺，傳統閩南式建築房間又多，常發生新娘親戚找不到房間見不到新娘的趣聞，而族親經常舉辦活動宴客，幾乎天天有得吃，此為「崇蘭蕭，三日沒煮不餓」這句俚語的由來。

蕭家不但生財有道，子孫也多文采，在清領時期出過6位秀才。蕭家人才輩出，是屏東市的大望族，早期每年冬至祭祖時，有八音、禮生，還須穿著長袍馬掛，由主祭官宣讀祭文，隆重登場，蔚為地方年度盛事。
