中文（臺灣）：本文論述高雄市內唯一的糖廠─小港糖廠之沿革。
小港糖廠所在地曾為林少貓及其黨羽聚集之處，被日本政府剿滅後，原址興建後壁林製糖所。小港糖廠自日治時期開始，大概可分為7個時期，後壁林製糖廠（日治時期）→後壁林糖廠→（戰後時期）→小港糖廠→高雄糖廠第二工場→小港糖廠→小港副產加工廠→小港廠。自日治時期開始，產糖量穩定上升，設備也日漸更新，戰後時期，民國61年因經濟迅速成長、交通發達，致使鐵道營業線運輸一蹶不振，使得部分糖廠關閉，小港糖廠的製糖量再次上升；隔年開始辦理土地開發、飼料與製油業務，故在民國72年改制為小港副產加工廠。民國88年加辦精煉白糖業務，成為全臺唯一的砂糖精煉廠。 從上述可知，小港糖廠在近百年的歷史中，隨著時代演變而衍伸不同的多元業務，也帶動當地的經濟發展，其豐富的歷史，不管是檔案史料或物質文化遺產，都值得廠方設置「廠史館」，讓民眾能夠理解此段歷史。 |
