| Description |
中文（臺灣）：立霧溪發源於中央山脈（奇萊山麓與合歡山麓間），長度約 55 公里。太魯閣族人將此溪稱為 Yayung Paru（意「大河」）、Yayung Mntudu（意「大小溪澗匯流成河」），外族人則以溪口北岸太魯閣族得吉利部落（Tkijig、Takili，又稱「崇德部落」）取作為「Takilis」，後日人則以日文漢字「立つ霧／たつきり Tatsukiri」同音轉寫，因此奠定「立霧溪」此名。 |
