| Description |
中文（臺灣）： 「火車迴轉盤」又稱「調車台」，當地人俗稱「天地盤」，為供火車轉換方向的機械裝置。
羅東森林鐵道，全線自土場至羅東竹林間共36.69公里。其中土場至天送埤之間完成於1921年，由當時「台灣電氣株式會社」出資興築。該路段沿著蘭陽溪右岸而建，遇溪架橋，遇山則鑿隧道。因地形因素，每逢颱風季節，強風豪雨便時常將此段軌道沖毀，交通中斷往往長達二、三個月之久；而天送埤至羅東竹林間，鐵路多經平坦的蘭陽平原，所受損害則相對減少。 因此每逢土場至天送埤間交通中斷時，火車便須在天送埤折返或休息，以維持與羅東之間的客運。「迴轉盤」便是當時用來掉轉火車頭之用。 |
