Description

大理城城墙及南北城楼
大理府城建于明洪武十五年（公元1383年），是明太祖朱元璋派沐英平定云南后，在大理国故都阳苴咩城遗址范围内修建。原大理府城南城墙在五华楼一线，后向南扩建。四周城墙各长1500米。城的四方和四角有门楼和角楼。西门楼名“苍山楼”，东门楼名“通海楼”，南门楼名“承恩楼”、北门楼名“安远楼”。南北城楼相对，东西城楼相错。城墙格局及基址保存完整，地面墙体大部份已毁，仅存约三百米。南北城门楼于1984年在原有城门及城台上重建。1985年9月被大理市人民政府公布为第一批市级文物保护单位。2016年9月被大理白族自治州人民政府公布为第六批州级文物保护单位。
保护范围：大理城城墙遗址四周两侧各5米为界；南城楼：南以双鹤桥南5米为界，北城楼：北以狮子桥北5米为界。
建设控制地带：执行大理古城保护规划的规定。
