Description

English: Preliminary automatic translation: Trolley in Puli Street or Turtle Villa Street

Secretary Cao Peichang of the Monopoly Bureau Puli, took the precious image of the light trolley in 1936. Mr. Chen Qingfeng, a cultural and historical worker at Turtle Mountain Resort, pointed out that, according to the textual research done, the location should be the old Turtle Villa Street in the hometown of Cao Peichang (now the junction of Zhongxing Road and Mingde in Guishan District, Taoyuan City).

However, we would like to raise some doubts as to whether this old photo is a handy truck at Puli Street or Turtle Villa.

1. From the photos' time: Mr. Cao Puichang's time in Puli's office was from May 1935 May to March 1938. At this point in time, this picture is more likely to be taken in Puli Street. Of course, Cao Peichang does not rule out the return of the holiday stay.

2. From the characters in the photo: Cao Peichang (front left), a friend on the right, should be dressed in service of the staff of the Monopoly Bureau at that time. Therefore, we think the composition taken in Puli is larger.

3. From the style of the trolley: From the old photos in Puli, we found a photograph of the old north gate trolley. Comparing the trolley styles in the two pictures, we found that the two were very similar. In particular, the passenger seats were identical and increased This old photo is a tall trolley on Puli Street.

4. From the back of Yamagata: From the photos of Yamagata in the distance, it is more likely to be taken in Puli, but this part should also be consulted on the location of Puli hilltops to help interpret people.
