中文（臺灣）：唐榮鐵工廠股份有限公司為高雄民間最重要之鐵工廠，於1960年（民國49年）爆發財務危機、週轉失靈，請求政府救濟，行政院為維持該公司持續營運，特別於同年11月24日頒布院令，委託中華開發信託股份有限公司清查其資產並維持鐵工廠生產，於1962年（民國51年）2月1日改組為省屬事業機構，也成為公營事業，後省府雖仍有一連串建設，如建立「中興鋼鐵廠」， 但已無法與當年相比。
唐榮鐵工廠其主要煉鐵來源為廢鐵，廢鐵為生產不銹鋼之主要原料。一般廢鋼分類為甲、乙、丙、丁四級， 甲級廢鋼－能用於軋製元鐵鋼筋等型鋼或其他代替品用途之廢料如廢船、鋼板、廢鋼軌、廢橋梁、型鋼、廢車軸等數之；乙級廢鋼－較整齊之廢鋼板、角鐵、型鐵、廢彈簧、魚尾板等屬之民營工廠多利用作為原料之用；丙級廢鋼－電爐煉鋼原料－不能作甲乙項之用途者，普通厚度應在三公厘以上；丁級廢鋼－切削鋼屑、廢鋼絲等屬之。目前台灣機械公司及六十兵工廠利用煉製再生鐵，以單極電爐煉製，其他工廠尚無此種設備，其鋼屑除少數用以鑄鐵外，多數廢棄。 廢鋼的來源依每年情形不同，來源亦不同。原料來源有打撈沉船及折廢船，參加招商局標售船隻，並拆解船隻取得廢鋼。 本組圖為唐榮鐵工廠股份有限公司（簡稱唐榮鐵工廠）廢鐵運至高雄港時，唐榮自用貨車搬運廢鐵之情形。 |
