Description
中文（繁體）：民國56年政府建議台糖公司可利用蔗渣製造紙漿，提高附加價值及營業收益，遂引入日本設備於民國66年建立紙漿廠。後因蔗渣原料不足、運輸成本增加以及環保訴求等問題，於民國83年關廠。它為台糖唯一紙漿廠，見證台糖多角化經營模式，具有產業遺址及歷史文化價值。
English: In 1967, the government recommended that Taiwan Sugar Company use bagasse to make pulp, increase added value and operating income. After the introduction of Japanese equipment, the pulp mill was established in 1977.Due to insufficient bagasse raw materials, increased transportation costs and environmental protection issues, the factory was closed in 1994. It is the only pulp mill for Taiwan Sugar, witnessing the diversified business model of Taiwan Sugar, with historical and cultural value.
