Description
中文（臺灣）：南方澳作為當年興盛一時的繁榮漁港，豐富的海洋資源促使漁業繁忙收益可觀，匯聚往來的漁民和漁工也促使南方澳這個小漁村的消費市場發展熱絡，酒家、茶室、球場等聲色娛樂場所林立，成為當地人出海歸來的休閒。而南方澳的戲院以南方澳大戲院、東南戲院與神州戲院三家為大，其中以南方澳大戲院最為悠久馳名。 南方澳大戲院成立時間最早，最初為日據時代的聚會場，光復後改建為南方澳大戲院，這裡不僅放映影片，也是歌仔戲和布袋戲等歌舞戲劇團的演出舞台。作為當時南方澳的重要娛樂中心之一，南方澳大戲院也是政治教育與文化中心，具有南方澳禮堂會場的功能，點閱召集、里民大會、歌唱比賽、政見發表會等活動也在這裡舉辦。 然而戲院的精彩紛呈也抵不過漁港的經濟衰退與免費電視節目的流行，南方澳大戲院於1973年拆除改建為日新大飯店，而如今於2015年再次重新改造裝潢成為今日可見的青創旅店The New Days。
