Description
中文（繁體）：民國56年政府建議台糖公司可利用蔗渣製造紙漿，提高附加價值及營業收益，遂於民國66年引入日本設備建立紙漿廠。後因蔗渣原料不足、運輸成本增加以及環保訴求等問題，於民國83年關廠。生產機械設備於民國86年整廠出售予泰國，廠房也隨即拆除，目前僅殘留原料倉庫A、B、C三棟。此為臺糖唯一紙漿廠，具有產業遺址價值，見證臺糖多角化經營模式，具歷史文化。大跨度力霸型鋼架，可見證當代技術發展過程，具建築史或技術史之價值。縣民公園第一期工程在2018年完工，作為台灣設計展展場之一；第二期工程則歷經 5 年多時間，屏東縣政府與台糖協商取得用地，將荒廢 27 年的台糖舊紙漿廠遺構活化再生，打造台灣第一個以工業遺構為核心、複合殺蛇溪水岸廊道的園區，共 20 公頃的「屏東縣民公園」正式完工啟用。(國家文化資產網)
