中文:此《倭寇圖卷》(舊題《明仇十洲臺灣奏凱圖》)。其描繪內容是明代靠海的長江沿岸的官軍抗擊倭寇的歷史。全卷從右至左依次描繪:倭寇的船隊出現、登岸、觀望形勢、掠奪防火、平民逃難、倭寇和明軍士兵水上激戰、倭寇被殲、明軍出陣等內容。此卷現藏於東京大學史料編纂所。

東京大學所藏的《倭寇圖卷》(此卷)和中國國家博物館館藏的《抗倭圖卷》和都是明代的佚名作品,東京大學史料編纂所藏的時代稍晚。所畫是明代靠海的長江沿岸的明代官軍抗擊倭寇的歷史,全畫從倭寇來犯到燒殺搶掠,當地民眾的流離失舍,官軍抗擊倭寇到得勝班師。是表現時代重大政治事件的歷史畫卷。此東京大學史料編纂所藏此晚明的《倭寇圖卷》(此卷)與國博藏明初的《抗倭圖卷》具有相同的內在結構,且諸多細節相似。可是,它們的風格迥異。《倭寇圖卷》上有未名人士的題箋,言《仇十洲臺灣奏凱圖》,不僅不合該畫的主題,而且其典型的晚明風格亦不可能是出於仇英之手。[1] 倭寇,是東亞地區對東亞日本人的貶稱。一般是指 13 至 16 世紀期間活躍於朝鮮半島及中國沿岸的海盜,這些海盜一般為日本人,故此又叫日本海盜。歷史上倭寇來源眾多,成分複雜。元朝早期以日本人為主,明朝中晚期則以沿海的南方漢人為主體,《明史日本傳》有雲:「大抵真倭十之三,從倭者十之七」。

仇英,字實父,號十洲,中國明代畫家,原籍江蘇太倉,後移居蘇州。生年不詳,考訂約生於弘治甲寅,卒於嘉靖壬子秋冬之際。吳門四家之一。

評論引用 李夏恩:東大所藏《倭寇圖卷》雖然與國博所藏《抗倭圖卷》是同一主題的畫作,但無論畫風還是形式都差別極大,確系並非摹本的關係。須田牧子女史在《再考》中考證了這幅畫傳入日本的過程,1923 年此圖以《倭寇圖》之名在東京大學史料編纂所舉辦的史料展覽會上展示,始為學界所知,1930 年黑白照片由古兵書圖錄刊行會刊行,著名史學家辻善之助先生為其撰寫解說文,在文中稱此圖由東京文求堂主從中國帶來日本。辻先生也指出 「該圖卷是明代人為紀念慘遭受倭寇之害而所繪之物……臺灣奏凱,蓋後人妄題,固非得其實……寇民多帶日本刀,中有著甲胄者一人,其風姿明示乃畫倭寇之物」,1974 年,此畫以彩色版進行複製,由史家田中健夫先生(即《倭寇》一書作者)撰寫解說文字。在下手頭兒收藏的即是這個版本。須田女史通過紅外線攝影技術發現,《倭寇圖卷》中由遠及近駛來的倭寇船上飄揚的旗幟上有 「弘治四年」 字樣,即 1558 年,相當於中國嘉靖三十七年。但是仍未能解釋這幅畫繪製的究竟是哪場戰鬥。在下個人的考證是從圖中 「海防新堡」 這幾個字出發,揆諸目前所見史料,比較吻合的是浙江永嘉場(今溫州龍灣區永強)抗倭之戰。根據《永嘉縣誌》記載,嘉靖三十七年,倭寇三次入侵永嘉場,均被打退,同年十月,廣東按察副使王叔果回鄉掃墓,聞聽倭寇作亂,又見老城永興堡破舊不堪,於是上疏請遷建新堡,名為 「永昌堡」。這可能就是海防新堡的來源。當然,是否是此地,還需進一步考證。但此畫歷史意義之重要,已經自不待言了。
