[edit]Description《論演說家、演說家、布魯圖斯、論最好的演說家》.jpg |
中文(繁體):《論演說家、演說家、布魯圖斯、論最好的演說家》(On the Orator, Orator, Brutus, On the Best Kind of Orators,約1425年),臺北市士林區陽明山次分區臨溪里(雙溪庄外雙溪)
English: This luxurious manuscript is one of the most important witnesses of the manuscript of Cicero's rhetorical works. The table miniature on the page reproduces the setting of the work: the protagonists of the De Oratore identified by the related captions are depicted around a tree, sitting on a meadow and conversing. The codex was purchased by Pope Benedict XIV (r. 1740-1758) in 1748 for the Biblioteca Apostolica Vaticana. |
