ไทย: อาณาเขตของเมืองขุขันธ์ ในอดีต ครอบคลุมถึงเขตอำเภอเดชอุดม อำเภอบุณฑริก ซึ่งรวมพื้นที่ของอำเภอน้ำยืน อำเภอนาจะหลวย อำเภอทุ่งศรีนคร และกิ่งอำเภอน้ำขุ่น จังหวัดอุบลราชธานีในปัจจุบันนี้ด้วย ดังประกาศในราชกิจจานุเบกษา ประกาศเรื่องเปลี่ยนชื่ออำเภอ เล่ม ๓๔ หน้า ๔๐ และหน้า ๖๓ วันที่ ๒๙ เมษายน ๒๔๖๐ ซึ่งลงนามโดยมหาเสวกเอก เจ้าพระยาสุรสีห์ วิสิษฐศักดิ์ เสนาบดีกระทรวงมหาดไทย ประกาศมา ณ วันที่ ๒๔ เมษายน พ.ศ. ๒๔๖๐ ด้วยเหตุผลว่าเพื่อให้เป็นที่สะดวกในทางราชการและเป็นที่เข้าใจแจ่มแจ้งแห่งประชุมชนทั่วไปว่าอำเภอใดคงเรียกตามชื่อเดิม อำเภอใดเปลี่ยนชื่อเรียกตามนามตำบล จึงทรงพระกรุณาโปรดเกล้าฯให้ประกาศชื่ออำเภอ ทั้งที่คงชื่อเดิมและเปลี่ยนชื่อใหม่ ดังบัญชีท้ายประกาศนี้ใช้เป็นระเบียบในราชการสืบไป 
            อำเภอเมือง               เป็น อำเภอห้วยเหนือ
            อำเภอเมืองศีร์ษะเกษ  เป็น อำเภอศีร์ษะเกษ
            อำเภอราษีไสล        เป็น อำเภอคง
            อำเภอกันทรารักษ์   เป็น อำเภอน้ำอ้อม
            กิ่งบัวบุณฑริก         เป็น กิ่งโพนงาม
            อำเภออุทุมพรพิสัย คงเรียก อำเภออุทุมพรพิสัย
            อำเภอกันทรารมย์   คงเรียก อำเภอกันทรารมย์
อำเภอเดชอุดม คงเรียก อำเภอเดชอุดม
